By the Chinese Geriatric Society of Palliative medicine branch, Fujian Province Geriatric Hospital co-organized by the Jiangsu Anti-aging Association of Palliative Medicine Branch of the "ninth Chinese Geriatric medicine and Technology Innovation Conference and 2023 Chinese Geriatric Medicine Association Palliative Medicine Academic Conference" in July 8-9, 2023 in the beautiful Rongcheng Fuzhou successfully held. The conference invited renowned experts in the industry to introduce the development of the field of palliative medicine at home and abroad, promote the concept and practical experience of palliative medicine, and build a platform for academic exchange, common discussion and wisdom sharing.

The first keynote presentation session was presided over by Professor Zhang Dong, Vice President of the Chinese Geriatric Society's Palliative Therapy Branch and director of the Medical Oncology Department of the Second Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital. Professor Lu Guijun, director of the Pain Department of Tsinghua University Changgeng Hospital and deputy chairman of the Hospice Care Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, gave a special lecture on ";Preaching about the culture of life and Death". As a well-known expert in palliative medicine and life and death education in China, Professor Lu Guijun emphasized that the more humanistic medical model is to seek harmony in the relationship between heaven, man, things and self, to seek the eternal meaning and value of life, and to achieve the feeling of peace in the process of continuous transcendent integration. He hopes that more medical staff will join the work of hospice care and life and death education, and that the function of hospitals and doctors is not only to revive the hand, but also to help people turn around.

The second session of the keynote presentation was presided over by Professor Huang Min, Vice President of the Chinese Geriatric Society's Branch of Palliative Medicine and Suzhou Municipal Hospital. Associate Professor Zhang Yuxi, head nurse of the geriatric blood Radiotherapy Ward of Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital, reported "a case analysis of hospice care for a patient with postoperative recurrence and multiple metastasis of ovarian cancer". Wang Peng, deputy chief physician of the Department of Oncology of the Second Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital, reported "A case of Long survival of elderly cancer patients: Elderly palliative care and anti-tumor therapy". Xu Zongxian, president of Fuzhou Ren 'ai Nursing Home, shared the "Cooperation model between geriatric hospital and medical and nursing institutions: Make elderly care more reliable". At the same time, the conference held the second working meeting of the standing Committee of the second Committee of the Soothing Medicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society.
