From July 6-9, 2023, the 9th China Gerontology and Technology Innovation Conference was held in Fuzhou. On July 9, the Emergency Medicine Sub-Forum of the Chinese Geriatric Society, jointly organized by the Emergency Medicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society and the Fujian Geriatric Hospital, and co-organized by the Foundation Egg Biology, opened the curtain, and the well-known scholars of the national emergency medicine and related majors brought special lectures to share the cutting-edge knowledge and achievements of China's emergency medicine and scientific and technological innovation.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, Guo Wei, President of the Emergency Medicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society and Professor of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Zheng Ming, president of Fujian Geriatric Hospital, and Chen Feng, vice president of Fujian Provincial Hospital, delivered a speech, expressing warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the participants, and hoping that this conference can fully demonstrate the high-level research results in the field of geriatric emergency medicine in China. Through this rare academic exchange opportunity, we can carry out sincere and pragmatic multi-perspective exchanges between each other, and I hope that all participants can benefit from it.

Keynote speech

 In the reporting section, Lin Zhihong, director of the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, gave a report on the treatment of emergency elderly CAP; Shan Zhigang, director of Jingdong Medical District of PLA General Hospital, made a report on the principles of treatment of thermal radiation disease; Li Lizhuo, director of Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University, made a report on the Diagnosis Principles of abdominal pain in the elderly. Guo Yongming, director of Fujian Geriatric Hospital, made a report on "Emergency thinking of chest pain in elderly patients"; Report of "Diagnosis and Treatment of Sepsis Cardiomyopathy" by Huang Wen, Director of Fuzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine; Xia Daoyu, author of "Accurate Victory in Critical and Critical Cases: Application of chemiluminescence detection in emergency POCT".

The session was presided over by Professor Shan Zhigang of Jingdong Medical District of PLA General Hospital, Professor Cao Zhanyu of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Professor Ke Tie of Fujian Provincial Hospital, Director Wu Wensi of Fujian Third People's Hospital, Professor You Fang of Fujian Medical University Union Hospital, Professor Huang Yanjing of the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University and Professor Min Jun of Fuzhou Second Hospital.

Summary of the conference

At the end of the meeting, Wang Xiaoping, director of Fujian Provincial Hospital, led everyone to summarize the contents of the academic report of the conference, and invited Lin Chengping, Vice president of Fuzhou Jin 'an District Hospital, Wan Zhanou, director of Fujian Geriatric Hospital, and Huang Hao, director of Fujian Geriatric Hospital, to discuss. The participants said that this meeting promoted inter-regional collaboration, high-quality resources sinking, and built a high-level communication platform for the majority of elderly emergency workers. It is hoped that the Emergency Medicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society will continue to integrate resources and expand its influence, and contribute more to the further implementation of the strategic requirements of comprehensively promoting the construction of healthy China and actively responding to the aging population.
