In order to continue to build the brand influence of the Dermatology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, give full play to the advantages of expert teams in various regions, further promote academic exchanges between regions and improve the academic level, promote the sinking of high-quality resources, and improve the level of primary diagnosis and treatment services. Regional academic Forum activities are planned to be held from April to November 2023. Recently, President Zhu Wei and Vice President Zhao Hua led the first fight in North China, organized and presided over the first regional academic forum and lit up Baicheng Qian County 2023 specific dermatitis grassroots standardized diagnosis and treatment tour.

President Zhu Wei first summarized the overview of the activities of the Dermatology Branch online Expert Forum in 2022. The branch held a total of 8 wonderful online expert forums, with a cumulative audience of 50,000, which initially established the professional and rigorous academic brand image of the Dermatology Branch. The 23-year Branch will continue to hold several high-level meetings to promote academic exchanges and cooperation among experts in the region. Professor Cui Yong, director of the Department of Dermatology and venereology of Capital Medical University, the cooperation unit of the North China Regional Forum, said that the growing number of elderly people in China has brought many challenges to the field of dermatology, and grass-roots doctors and young doctors should pay close attention to learning and grasping new technologies such as biological agents, artificial intelligence and telemedicine, so as to better carry out skin health services for the elderly. I wish this forum a complete success.

Professor Yang Xiumin, standing member of the Dermatology Branch and Beijing Tongren Hospital, first discussed the application characteristics of biological agents in atopic dermatitis. In the case of the lack of efficacy and high adverse reactions of traditional system treatment, the new biologics can effectively and stably restore the skin barrier function of patients with atopic dermatitis, thereby relieving pruritus and restoring the homeostasis of the epidermal flora of patients, with little safety concerns, rapid first dose and stable long-term efficacy. Professor Zhang Guoqiang, Director General of the Dermatology Branch and the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University, explained in detail how to conduct comprehensive and efficient patient education for patients with atopic dermatitis. A professional team of healthcare professionals (TPE) can not only provide patients with scientific explanations and active follow-up, but also help patients set individual goals. The optimal solution of information transmission can only be achieved by combining the Internet platform and mobile terminal with various modes of education. Professor Zhang Haihong of Beijing Huairou Hospital introduced in depth the long-term management methods of elderly patients with atopic dermatitis, and the long-term application of biological agents has a low infection rate and a high response rate, so it has a broad application prospect. Finally, Professor Li Jingfeng from Beijing Friendship Hospital introduced the history of human cognitive development of eczema and atopic dermatitis in a simple way and shared 2 wonderful cases of atopic dermatitis treatment, suggesting that doctors need to strengthen observation of biological agents in practical application and have the courage to try on the standard of standardized use.

The expert discussion session summarized the course characteristics of atopic dermatitis, shared the management experience of patients with chronic disease course, and affirmed the long-term stable efficacy of biologics for atopic dermatitis. Finally, Professor Lian Shi, honorary President of the Dermatology Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, affirmed the high-level academic interaction of this forum and looked forward to the wonderful activities to be launched by the branch in 2023. At this point, the first North China Station meeting of the Dermatology Branch Regional Academic Forum was successfully concluded. In 2023, the Dermatology Branch will continue to invite industry experts to bring high-level courses to the majority of primary physicians and young physicians, share cutting-edge views, update diagnosis and treatment cognition, and make more contributions to the development of geriatric dermatology and geriatric health in China.
