Director of the Department of Nephrology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Chief Physician, Doctoral and Postdoctoral Supervisor, and Distinguished Professor of Peking Union Medical College Scholars. He has long been dedicated to the integrated diagnosis and treatment of chronic kidney disease, medical teaching and research on geriatric and rare kidney diseases. It was awarded the title of National Huang Danyan-style Teacher Team in Colleges and Universities, National Advanced Collective for Professional and Technical Talents, National Advanced Collective in the Health and Wellness System, and the First Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress (second contributor). He served as the associate editor of the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (JASN) from 2017 to 2023. Currently, he is the president of the Nephrology Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, a member of the Expert Committee on Rare Disease Diagnosis, Treatment and Assurance of the National Health Commission, the deputy director of the National Rare Disease Quality Control Center, a standing committee member of the Rare Disease Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and the incoming chairperson of the Rare Disease Branch of the Beijing Medical Association. Vice Chairman of the Nephrology Branch of the Beijing Medical Association, Vice President of the Institute of Rare Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Innovation and Development of Peking Union Medical College. He/She has presided over more than 20 national and provincial-level funds, including major projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology and 7 National natural Science projects. He/She has published nearly 300 papers, among which there are more than 100 papers in international journals such as Lancet,Nature Methods,Advanced Sciences,JASN,CDD, and NDT. He/She has edited and co-edited 8 monographs and textbooks. More than ten invention patents and software Copyrights have been approved.
