Yu Pulin, who served as the 9th Chairperson of the Geriatrics Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, is a researcher (Level 2) at the National Geriatrics Center of Beijing Hospital. He also holds the positions of Vice President and legal representative of the 3rd Council of the Chinese Geriatrics Society and deputy secretary-general of the China Medical and Health Culture Association. Deputy Chief Editor of the Chinese Journal of Geriatrics, Executive Chief Editor of the Second Editorial Committee of the Chinese Electronic Journal of Geriatric Research, Deputy Chief Editor of the Chinese Journal of Clinical Health Care, etc.

Having been engaged in geriatric medicine for over 30 years, my research fields cover elderly health care service models, quality of life, falls, sarcopenia, frailty and disability prevention, etc. Took the lead in formulating "Core Information on the Prevention of Disability in the Elderly", "Standards for Healthy Elderly in China", "Expert Consensus on the Application of Comprehensive Assessment Technology for the Elderly in China", etc. He/She has served as the chief editor of the first (2002), second (2017), and third (2023) editions of the national college textbook "Geriatrics", as well as major reference books such as "Geriatric Epidemiology", "Chinese Geriatrics", and "Geriatrics". Additionally, he/she has authored "Falls and Prevention in the Elderly" and "Proactive Health: Popular science books such as "Anti-Aging and Fall Prevention" and "Guarding the Health of the Elderly". More than 200 papers have been published in Chinese series of magazines and SCI journals. In 2002, he/she was awarded the 7th Wu Jieping Medical Research Award - Paul. Third Prize of Janssen Pharmaceutical Research Award In 2006, it won the First prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award. In 2012, he/she was awarded the title of "National Outstanding Science and Technology Worker". In 2021, it won the first prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of Hunan Province.
