On June 23, the 10th China Geriatric Medicine and Technology Innovation Conference, sponsored by the Public Health Service Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, was successfully held in Yantai. Focusing on social medical security and health services for the elderly, the forum attracted extensive participation from experts, scholars and outstanding contributors from different fields such as medical institutions, public health and social health services across the country. The forum was chaired by Zhang Lianshan, Director general of the Public Health Service Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society.

Xu Xiaodong, Vice President and Secretary-General, said that the theme of this forum, "Social Medical Security and health services for the elderly", has far-reaching practical significance. Through this academic platform, we can gather domestic and foreign wisdom, share the latest research results, discuss successful experiences, and jointly offer suggestions for the innovation and development of geriatric medicine technology, the improvement of medical security system, and the optimization of health service system. It is hoped that through in-depth exchanges and cooperation, the cause of geriatric medicine and health services in China will be promoted to a new level, and our wisdom and strength will be contributed to coping with the challenge of aging population.

The forum is divided into two parts: an academic report on social medical security and health services for the elderly and a discussion on the combination of medical and nursing care, free diagnosis and health consultation. Wang Haiping, general manager of Reignwood Group, made a report on the "Discussion on the cooperation between nursing homes and hospitals", and explained how to better provide a full range of elderly care services for the elderly from the perspective of the combination of medical and nursing care.

This forum not only provides a platform for participants to exchange academic achievements and practical experience, but also provides new ideas and directions for the research practice of geriatrics and health services.
