May 19, 2025 marks the 15th "World Family Doctor Day". In response to the call of "Healthy China 2030", we aim to deepen family doctor contract services, enhance residents' health awareness, disseminate health knowledge, and serve community residents. The expert team led by Director Liu Yanxia, a standing committee member of the Chronic Disease Prevention and Control and Management Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society and the director of the General Medicine Department of the General Hospital of the Northern Theater Command, jointly launched the "Family Doctor Day and Free Health Consultation Week" event with the Hunnan District Hospital of Shenyang City, Hunhewan Community, and Nanhu Community Health Service Center, under the theme of "General Practice Team Enters Every Household, Health Worries Are Answered by Doctors". Deputy Director Liu Liang of the Health Bureau of Hunnan District attended the event and delivered a speech. This event aimed to bring high-quality medical resources to the doorstep of residents through a triple service model of "free medical consultation + contract signing + science popularization", serving over 400 people.

Long queues formed in front of the blood pressure, blood sugar and muscle strength testing areas. This free medical consultation event covered different communities and provided precise services to meet the diverse health needs of residents. Director Liu Yanxia gave a popular science lecture titled "Managing 'Three Highs' Together to Stay Away from Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases" to the residents, helping them understand the harm of "three highs", how to prevent and make a preliminary diagnosis of "three highs", and answered the residents' questions. Directors Wu Guangzhe and Xu Fu provide personalized medication guidance for patients with hypertension and diabetes.

"Precise and effective chronic disease management

In response to common chronic diseases in the community such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia and diabetes, the General Practice Department has introduced a "personalized service package". Experts distributed promotional brochures to the residents, not only providing detailed answers and medication guidance for each resident's health issues, but also formulating comprehensive management plans for each patient, including diet, exercise and monitoring.

A "family doctor", also known as a "general practitioner", is a highly comprehensive and versatile clinical medical talent.
