This training course has brought together experts from the fields of geriatrics, nursing, rehabilitation medicine and the operation and management of elderly care institutions in China. During the three-day intensive course, more than twenty renowned experts including Professor Fan Li, Professor Zhang Qiujian, Professor Song Yuetao, Professor Chen Zheng, Professor Hou Huiru, Professor Xie Hengge, Professor Lyu Jihui, Professor Hu Yixin and Professor Tu Qilei will focus on the core theme of elderly capacity assessment This course systematically covers the interpretation of standards for assessing the abilities of the elderly, the development trends of comprehensive geriatric assessment, the assessment of common diseases and abilities in the elderly, the assessment of cognitive and mental symptoms, screening for frailty and sarcopenia, the assessment of care needs, and comparisons of international experiences, among other cutting-edge theories and practical knowledge.
Integrate knowledge with action and hone practical skills

The course design emphasizes the deep integration of theory and practice. In addition to the specialized lectures, the training course has also specially arranged a number of practical sessions. The trainees will be divided into groups to visit the "Frailty Clinic" of the Second Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital for on-site observation and internship, to have an intuitive understanding of the working scenarios of assessors. At Chunxuanmao Elderly Care Group, trainees will observe on-site the practical application and demonstration of the elderly ability assessment software system. In addition, the course also features practical operation demonstrations and case group teaching workshops, where experienced teachers such as Shi Ruijun, Wang Dan, and Gong Zhuyun will provide hands-on guidance on assessment techniques to enhance practical abilities.
After the training, all trainees are required to take a unified theoretical knowledge examination. Those who pass the assessment will be awarded the "Certificate of Completion for the Elderly Capacity Assessor Teacher Training Course" issued by the Chinese Society of Geriatrics. Some trainees will continue to take the "Senior Citizen Capacity Assessor" level evaluation examination to obtain a nationally recognized vocational skills level certificate.
