Summary and Prospect

The five sub-forums have a tight schedule and rich content, covering topics such as liquid biopsy of tumors, molecular mechanisms of aging, myocardial injury markers, and blood cell morphology, as well as AI-assisted diagnosis, intelligent testing platforms, chronic disease management, precise detection of infectious diseases, and multi-dimensional prevention and control of comorbidities in the elderly. They comprehensively showcase the cutting-edge progress and transformation practices of geriatric laboratory medicine. The conference not only systematically sorted out the complete chain from basic research to clinical application, but also consolidated the industry's deep consensus on the core concept of "strengthening the technical foundation and empowering chronic disease management". Facing the severe challenge of the aging wave, laboratory medicine is accelerating its shift from "behind-the-scenes indicator interpretation" to "precise decision-making on the stage", using AI, multi-omics, and big data as new engines to drive geriatric laboratory tests towards digitalization, personalization, and inclusiveness. In the future, the Laboratory Medicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society will continue to build a high-level academic platform, deepen multi-disciplinary collaboration, establish a localized standard system, and contribute solid laboratory strength to promoting the cause of healthy aging.
