From October 9th to 11th, the "12th China Geriatrics and Science and Technology Innovation Conference and Academic Conference of the Burn, Trauma and Wound Repair Branch of the China Geriatrics Society" was successfully held in Zhengzhou, hosted by the Burn, Trauma and Wound Repair Branch of the China Geriatrics Society, organized by the First People's Hospital of Zhengzhou City, and co-organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. At the same time, The "Party Flag Flutters, Warmth Spreads Across the Land - Chronic Wound Relief Project for Elderly People Living Alone (Zhengzhou Station)" has been officially launched. More than 500 renowned experts, scholars and medical workers from all over the country in the field of burn trauma and wound repair attended this grand event.

The launch ceremony was presided over by Wang Yingqiu, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of Zhengzhou First People's Hospital. Ma Chao, the Party Secretary of Zhengzhou First People's Hospital, and Professor Guo Guanghua, Vice President of the Chinese Society of Geriatrics and Director of the Burn and Wound Repair Branch, delivered speeches successively.

Secretary Ma Chao said, "The fluttering Party flag warms the hearts of the elderly." Caring for the elderly living alone is the common responsibility of the whole society. This chronic wound rescue project's visit to Zhengzhou is a vivid practice of the Party organization serving the people and spreading warmth. We should take Party building as the lead, bring high-quality medical resources to the elderly, and use professionalism and love to help them relieve their pain and regain their dignity. Every Party member is a banner, and every Party branch is a fortress. We should make the elderly truly feel that the care of the Party is right beside them. It is hoped that all participating units will closely cooperate to do good deeds well and practical things solidly, ensuring that the rescue project achieves solid results and making the twilight years of Sangyu warmer and more dignified.

Professor Guo Guanghua pointed out that chronic wounds that are difficult to cure for a long time seriously threaten the health and dignity of elderly people living alone in their later years. As a professional branch, we have always been committed to standardizing and promoting wound repair techniques, and we also shoulder the responsibility of promoting high-quality medical resources to reach the grassroots level and serve disadvantaged groups. The Burn Department of Zhengzhou First People's Hospital (Henan Province Burn Diagnosis and Treatment Center) is a national key clinical specialty. It has long been committed to the treatment of burns and the repair of acute and chronic wounds, and has a strong technical force. The team led by Professor Di Haiping is highly professional and experienced, fully capable of shouldering the responsibility of this rescue operation and providing a solid professional guarantee for the implementation of the project. This project deeply integrates Party building with professional treatment, vividly demonstrating the benevolence of medical practitioners. The branch will fully provide technical support, organize expert teams to participate in screening, diagnosis and treatment, and training to ensure the effectiveness of the rescue.

Those who attended the launch ceremony included: Ding Li, Deputy Director of the Health Commission of Henan Province; Professor Luo Gaoxing, Chairperson of the Burn Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association; Professor Lyu Guozhong, Former Chairperson of the Burn Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association; Professor Cheng Biao, President-elect of the Burn Trauma and Wound Repair Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society; Professor Di Haiping, Vice President of the First People's Hospital of Zhengzhou City, etc.

Professor Guo Guanghua said that the "Party Flag Fluttering Warms the Elderly - Chronic Wound Rescue Project for Elderly People Living Alone" started in southern Anhui, passed through Hefei, Nanchang, Jinan, Guangzhou, and finally reached Zhengzhou. Along the way, it has received a warm response and successfully treated dozens of elderly people living alone with difficult-to-heal wounds. This is not only an extension of medical treatment, but also a vivid practice of allocating high-quality resources to the grassroots level and serving the people under the leadership of the Party building. Every stop is a relay of the original aspiration, and every success is a answer to the mission. The project, with its professional strength, alleviates the pain of the elderly and warms their twilight years with its sincere heart, exploring a new path of health assistance that deeply integrates Party building and business. Zhengzhou Railway Station has embarked on a new journey. May the project continue to be deeply developed, allowing the Party flag to fly high on the front line of treatment and bringing health and dignity to more elderly people living alone!

Under the guidance of the "15th Five-Year Plan" and the national strategy for actively responding to population aging, the branch will firmly establish and practice the correct view of political achievements. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the China Association on Aging, it will always take the health and well-being of the elderly as the starting point and ultimate goal, and do this practical project for the people in depth and solidly, so that more elderly people living alone can share health and dignity.
