President Yang Tingshu pointed out that due to the lack of unification, construction norms, operation management, quality control and other standards, the scale of China's elderly care institutions is chaotic, equipment, facilities are mixed, management supervision and quality control lag, all of which are related to the healthy development of China's elderly care, therefore, standardization and standardization of the construction of medical and nursing service institutions is imperative, accordingly, The society began to compile relevant standards for medical and nursing service institutions. On the basis of extensive solicitation of opinions and repeated revisions, it was finally approved as a group standard by the Chinese Society of Gerontology and published publicly on the national group standard information platform after repeated guidance and review by the expert committee.

In his speech, Chen Yunqi, Vice president of the Chinese Geriatric Society, introduced that since its establishment in 2015, the Promotion Committee of the Chinese Geriatric Society has carried out continuous and arduous research, practice and exploration in the field of the combination of medical and nursing care. The study summarized the "three modes", "two standards", "one set of methods" and "five basic experiences" that are closest to the elderly, and cracked the dilemma and problem of "nursing homes can not see the disease, hospitals can not keep the old", "the combination of medical care is difficult to land" and "the health industry is not big". After four years of practice, the society has summarized the basic ideas, models, methods and experiences of the research, practice and exploration of the combination of medical and nursing care, which is a difficult task and a long way to go, and has basically won the support and recognition of the service institutions engaged in the combination of medical and nursing care and some local governments. While adhering to the academic orientation and promoting the development of China's aging health cause, the society also promotes the construction of the elderly health service system for the country, and finds a way to combine theory and practice and conform to China's national conditions of medical and nursing service and management.
