The Chinese Geriatric Society was officially established in Beijing on April 19, 2015. In the past three years, under the leadership of the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the National Health Commission, under the care and guidance of senior advisers and academic seniors across the country, and with the active participation of the council members, members and members of each branch, the society has united as one to implement the spirit of the resolution of the first National Member Congress. Following and practicing the Constitution of the Chinese Geriatric Society and the 2015-2020 Construction and Development Plan of the Chinese Geriatric Society, we have worked actively and achieved gratifying results.

Following the success of the previous three Chinese Geriatric Medicine and Technology Innovation Conferences, on April 20-22, 2018, Chinese Geriatric Society, Taiyuan Municipal People's Government and National Clinical Medical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (PLA General Hospital) jointly hosted the conference in Taiyuan, Shanxi; The 4th China Geriatric Medicine and Technology Innovation Conference and China Health and Elderly Care Industry Expo; . From beginning to end, the conference has been highly valued by the Taiyuan Municipal Committee and the municipal government and has received full support in terms of human, financial and material resources. The meeting was jointly organized by Taiyuan Health and Family Planning Commission and Shanxi Geriatrics Society.

The first batch of geriatric training bases was awarded

In view of the shortage of grass-roots geriatric medicine and nursing practitioners in China, both good and bad, the Chinese Geriatric Society and the National Clinical Medical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (PLA General Hospital) jointly set up a geriatric training center.

The geriatric Training Center focuses on continuing medical education and training for practitioners in grass-roots health units and medical and nursing institutions, including general practitioners, nurses and caregivers, focusing on geriatric medicine and care-related knowledge and skills. Provide platform support for the standardized training of geriatrics related talents, build a three-level training system for geriatrics medical and care, unify training and standardize access, and realize the unification of geriatrics and care standards and the homogenization of services.

Through the association and the National Clinical Medical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (PLA General Hospital), experts were organized to evaluate the institutions that declared various types of geriatric training pilot work, and a total of 11 geriatric training centers (regions), 20 geriatric training bases, and 12 geriatric medical care training bases passed. At the opening ceremony of the conference, 43 units were awarded.

National Clinical Medical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (PLA General Hospital)

The National Clinical Medical Research Center is jointly built by the Ministry of Science and Technology in conjunction with the Health Commission, the Logistics Support Department of the Military Commission and the former Food and Drug Administration, facing the needs of disease prevention and control in China, with clinical application as the guide, medical institutions as the main body, and collaborative network as the support. National science and technology innovation bases for clinical research, collaborative innovation, academic exchange, personnel training, achievement transformation, promotion and application of technological innovation and achievement transformation.

The National Clinical Medical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (PLA General Hospital) was jointly approved by the superior authorities in July 2016, and officially awarded the license in July 2017. At present, it has included 22 core units of the collaborative network and 26 grass-roots units of the collaborative network, and built a three-level collaborative innovation network covering 21 provinces and autonomous regions.

　　More than 200 scientific research institutions, elderly care institutions, pharmaceutical and elderly products companies participated in the China Elderly Health and Elderly Care Industry Expo. The scale of the conference was more than 5,000 people, reflecting the high attention and active participation of geriatrics by all sectors of industry, academia and research at this stage.

Following the Chengdu Station in Sichuan Province, Taizhou Station in Jiangsu Province, and Changzhi Station in Shanxi Province, the conference once again gave health to respectable elderly people. On the afternoon of April 20, the "Health Lecture for the Elderly" was held for more than 1,000 retired cadres and middle-aged and elderly people in Taiyuan City, and the famous cardiovascular disease and geriatric medicine experts and nutritionists gave lectures on health science knowledge closely related to the middle-aged and elderly.

From the beginning of its establishment, the society has made the research and practical exploration of the combination of medicine and nursing as the key work of the society. For this purpose, the Medical and Health Service Department has been set up, which is in charge of the vice president of the resident committee. In the past three years, the society has actively organized the majority of experts to carry out academic research, while carrying out targeted pilot demonstration work of combining medical and nursing care. At present, there are four mature models being explored on a pilot basis: 1. Rural old-age care model, there is the "healthy village model" of Dongxuying village in Shijiazhuang; 2, urban pension model, Linyi three-level system model; 3, Scenic area pension institution model, 1) Qingcheng International medical care model, 2) Wuzhishan Elderly Health Center model, 3) Baisha pension community model; 4, hospital style, such as Shengjing Geriatric Hospital.

 

During the meeting, a special theme forum was set up to discuss four modes and produce and broadcast; National health, the road of the century rural style propaganda video. At the same time, with the convening of the General Conference, on April 18 and 19, the Science and Technology Daily introduced and promoted the rural pension model of Dongxuying village in Shijiazhuang and the urban pension model of Linyi, Shandong, respectively, for two consecutive full pages, which played a good publicity and demonstration role.

In the face of the increasingly severe aging population in China, the society actively responds to the call of the Party and the government, closely united the national geriatric medical workers, and established a close strategic cooperative alliance with more geriatric medical service institutions, elderly service institutions, industry and media at home and abroad, to promote the development of combined medical and nursing services and aging health industry.
