From July 17 to 20, the ";Three Trips to the Countryside" public service activities for the elderly were held in Hanyuan County, Ya 'an City, Sichuan Province, sponsored by the Education Branch of Chinese Geriatrics Society and Chengdu Medical College, and hosted by Ya 'an City Health and Health Committee and Chengdu Medical College Volunteer service team.

This activity is mainly aimed at the elderly in Hanyuan County and the surrounding towns to carry out free diagnosis and science popularization of diseases such as hypertension and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and the relevant content of the local "elderly health service package"; project, to do a survey of the local medical service level.

Service team has come to Hanyuan County Jiuxiang Town health center, Zhoujiacun health room, Manyan village health room, Dazhuang village, with the help of local staff to carry out a three-day public service activities for the old. At the event site, the service team patiently and carefully asked each elderly person about their chronic medical history, told them about relevant health knowledge, measured blood pressure for nearly 500 local elderly people, conducted relevant health science popularization for elderly people with hypertension, and provided guidance on diet and matters requiring attention in daily life. After the activity, the team members distributed materials such as health care foot bath kits and towels to each elderly person, sending a care to the elderly people. With the efforts of the team members, the villagers clearly know their own blood pressure, and have a certain understanding of common chronic diseases such as hypertension, hyperlipids, hyperglycemia and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and improve their health literacy. This activity has been praised by the local villagers.

The College Education Branch of the Chinese Geriatric Society, through this "three trips to the countryside"; for the elderly public welfare activities, exercise the grass-roots service team, but also the spiritual baptism of the players. The branch will continue to carry out services for the elderly, including free diagnosis, health consultation, health education, health science and other activities. In order to promote the combination of medical care, optimize elderly care services, improve the health level of the elderly, and enhance the sense of social gain and happiness of the elderly.
