From September 18th to 20th, 2025, the "2025 Academic Conference of the Critical Care Medicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society" was successfully held in Hangzhou, hosted by the Critical Care Medicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society. It focuses on the clinical pain points and academic frontiers in the field of geriatric critical care, effectively establishing a national platform for academic exchanges and experience sharing in the field of geriatric critical care medicine. The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Professor Zhou Fachun, vice president of the Critical Care Medicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society. Group standard Release: Gathering expert Wisdom to guide clinical practice

The conference was held concurrently with the release of the group standards for "Prevention of Deep Vein Thrombosis in Elderly critically Ill Patients - Part 1: General Specifications" and "Prevention of Deep Vein Thrombosis in Elderly Critically Ill Patients - Part 2: Technical Specifications for Intermittent Pneumatic Compression". Among them, the two group standards were respectively led by Professor Yan Jing, the president of the Critical Care Medicine Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, and Professor Li Li, the general secretary of the branch, who organized experts to complete the compilation.

At the meeting, Professor Li Li comprehensively introduced the core contents of the two group standards and provided in-depth interpretations. The two standards embody the clinical practice experience and professional wisdom of 20 experts from 14 hospitals across the country, and possess strong clinical guidance and practical operability, providing standardized guidance for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis in elderly critically ill patients.
