From October 25th to 26th, the "4th Academic Conference on the Development of Undergraduate Education in Health Service and Management and the 'Xunkang Cup' National College Students' Health Management Scenario Simulation Sand Table Competition", guided by the Chinese Geriatrics Society, hosted by the College Education Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, and organized by Shanghai Health Medical University, came to a successful conclusion at Shanghai Health Medical University. More than 500 teachers and students from over 90 universities across the country, as well as industry experts, gathered in Shanghai to jointly focus on the strategic demands of "Healthy China 2030". They tested their practical abilities through competition and explored professional development through academic discussions, injecting new vitality into talent cultivation under the Healthy China strategy.

Professor Pan Kejian, the president of the College Education Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, the Party Secretary and President of Chengdu Medical College, delivered a speech via video. He pointed out that the branch has always focused on the core mission of "integrating institutional resources and cultivating talents in elderly health and health management", and has hosted this competition for four consecutive years, creating an integrated platform of "academic conferences + sand table competitions", achieving a virtuous cycle of "promoting learning, teaching and reform through competitions", and has become one of the most influential brand activities in the field of national health services and management.

The academic conference is divided into two units: keynote speeches and sub-forum discussions. The keynote report, themed "Cultivating High-Quality Health Management Talents", attracted the participation of deans, department heads and key teachers from nearly a hundred universities across the country. Researcher Du Weijing from the China Health Education Center interprets the core path of "health education capacity building", emphasizing the importance of integrating health knowledge dissemination with practical abilities. Dr. Wei Xiaomin, a chief physician from the Shanghai Health Promotion Center, shared the construction experience of the "Shanghai Model" citizen health self-management group, providing practical references for community health services. Professor Yang Fang from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University expounded on the exploration achievements of the "Integrated Construction of the Talent Cultivation System for the Health Service and Management Major", and proposed the ideas of course integration and interdisciplinary cultivation. Professor Zhang Chichen from Southern Medical University shared the method of "Capturing Scientific Research Thinking and Cultivating Students' Innovation Ability", providing reference for the teaching reform in colleges and universities.

The sub-forums were held in the form of three thematic forums: "Discussion on the Undergraduate Talent Cultivation Model of Health Service and Management from the Perspective of New Liberal Arts", "Discussion on Experimental Teaching of Health Service and Management Major", and "Discussion on the Development of Health Service and Management Major and the Standardized Construction of Talent Cultivation System". In-depth exchanges were held on core topics such as the cultivation of talents in the health service and management major, the construction of quality standards, the standardization of students' graduation theses, and professional experimental teaching, and a number of constructive consensuse and practical plans were formed.

This year's "Xunkang Cup" College Students' Health Management Scenario Simulation Sand Table Competition, from the school-level competition, provincial-level competition to the national competition, saw the participation of over 10,000 students from 160 teams across the country. Eventually, 94 teams advanced to the finals. The competition is divided into three modules: "Health Management Plan Design", "Scenario Simulation Sand Table Competition", and "Team Defense and Practical Operation of Health Management and Services", comprehensively assessing students' ability to apply comprehensive knowledge and their job competence.
