On December 4th, a research team of six people from the China Association on Aging visited the China Geriatrics Society for research and held a symposium. Due to President Fan Li's official business and time conflict, he was unable to attend. Therefore, Vice President Cao Feng of the society was specially appointed to preside over the symposium. Vice President and Secretary-General, Party Branch Secretary Xu Xiaodong, Vice President Cheng Zhi, and the management team of the society accompanied the research and reported on the work. When Vice President Cao Feng presided over the symposium, he first extended a warm welcome on behalf of President Fan Li and the society to the research team from the China Association of Aging. He also expressed high respect for the team's prompt, efficient and pragmatic working style, as well as their concern and support for the cause of elderly health in our country.

      The research team conducted an on-site inspection of the office premises of the society, watched a video introducing its development, and gained a comprehensive understanding of the society's organizational construction, business operations, and standardized operation. Secretary-general Xu Xiaodong said in his special report that since its establishment in 2015, the society has always adhered to the mission of "developing geriatric medicine and serving the health of the elderly", and has built a development system of "academic leadership - talent support - service implementation - standard guarantee". It has achieved remarkable results in areas such as academic research, standard construction, talent cultivation, and public welfare services. It has been successively awarded the title of "Advanced Grassroots Party Organization"; by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and a national 4A-level social organization. Won the collective award and individual award of the World Health Organization's "Research Award for Health Promotion in Elderly Health Care". Since being transferred to the management of the China Association on Aging, the society has resolutely obeyed the leadership of the association, proactively benchmarked against work requirements, deepened the integration of Party building and business, frequently connected and implemented various work arrangements, and promoted the in-depth and solid linkage and collaboration with the Association on Aging.

The research team highly affirmed the achievements of the society's work, believing that the society has clear goals, solid work and prominent highlights. During the symposium and exchange, the research team put forward opinions and suggestions on aspects such as personnel management, Party affairs construction, publicity and promotion, and international exchanges and cooperation, expressing that the association will actively communicate and coordinate to ensure that the society can smoothly carry out all its work in accordance with laws, regulations and the charter. The research team proposed that the society should continuously deepen the leading role of Party building, focus on its main responsibilities and business to create distinctive brands, optimize management systems, strengthen the construction of talent teams, and enhance the credibility of social organizations. Vice President Cao Feng made a statement on behalf of the society, expressing gratitude to the China Association of Aging for its meticulous guidance and strong support. He emphasized that the society will resolutely obey the leadership of the supervisory unit, strictly implement all work requirements, especially to thoroughly and meticulously carry out the clean-up and investigation work. The society will continue to raise standards and make efforts in terms of political stance, main responsibilities and business, work standards, team building, and work style. Make every effort to promote the high-quality development of geriatric medicine.

This research has further smoothed the communication channels between the society and the Association for the Elderly. In the next step, under the leadership of the Association for the Elderly, the society will take this research as an opportunity to pool efforts and promote in a coordinated manner in areas such as policy implementation, project execution, and standardized management, jointly contributing to actively responding to population aging and promoting the construction of a Healthy China.
