On December 7, 2025, the National "Action for Promoting Hearing Health among the Elderly (2024-2027)" series of training and free medical consultation public welfare activities (Zhengzhou Station) was successfully held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. This event is guided by the Department of Aging Health of the National Health Commission, hosted by the Chinese Society of Geriatrics, organized by the Otolaryngology Branch of the Chinese Society of Geriatrics and the Health Commission of Henan Province, and co-organized by Henan Provincial People's Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, and the Otolaryngology Branch of the China International Exchange and Promotion Association for Medical and Health Care. As the final stop of 2025 following Changsha, Hohhot and Yantai, the Zhengzhou event is based on the actual needs of elderly health services in the Central Plains region. He called on all sectors of society to unite their efforts and jointly build a protective network for elderly hearing health. Zhang Qiujian, honorary director of the Expert Committee of the Chinese Society of Geriatrics, analyzed the difficulties and pain points in the prevention and control of hearing loss among the elderly from a professional perspective. He highly affirmed the significant value of the "training + free medical consultation" integrated model in enhancing the service capacity at the grassroots level and safeguarding the health rights and interests of the elderly, and pointed out the direction for subsequent work.

That afternoon, a free medical consultation event was held in the outpatient hall of Henan Provincial People's Hospital with great enthusiasm. Ear experts from top domestic medical institutions such as the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army, Peking University People's Hospital, and Beijing Chaoyang Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, in collaboration with local backbone forces like Henan Provincial People's Hospital and the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, have formed a high-level medical team to provide one-stop services for the elderly. Experts conduct meticulous ear canal examinations and rapid initial hearing screenshots, and provide personalized treatment suggestions and rehabilitation guidance based on different hearing conditions. The on-site science popularization and education area uses richly illustrated display boards to popularize ear protection knowledge and spread health concepts.
