With the continuous acceleration of the aging process in our country, cardiovascular diseases in the elderly have become the number one threat to the health of the elderly in our country, posing a great challenge to public health. In response to the Healthy China strategy and the national strategy of actively addressing population aging, and to help the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in the elderly enter a new stage of precision and standardization, on November 29-30, 2025, The National Continuing Medical Education Project (Continuing Education Project Number :2025-03-01-006(National)) - the Academic Conference on the Progress of Diagnosis and Treatment of Geriatric Cardiovascular Diseases of the Cardiovascular Disease Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society was grandly held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. This grand event brought together top experts in the field of cardiovascular diseases in China, sharing cutting-edge academic achievements and solving clinical practice problems. The academic content was rich and diverse, providing a high-quality academic exchange platform for medical workers.

This conference is hosted by the Cardiovascular Disease Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, organized by Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital (the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University), and co-organized by the Chinese Journal of Circulation. Professor Yang Yuejin, President of the Cardiovascular Disease Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society and from Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, served as the chairperson of the conference, and Professor Li Xinli from Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital (the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University) was the executive chairperson.
